Human From Conception
August 26, 2024Abortion creates a profound loss. Regardless of the reasoning for pursuing an abortion, in the end an unborn child loses their life and a mother and father lose the gift of parenthood. Abortion can never be benign, it always has an effect, because life is precious and has purpose and value regardless of the manner of conception.
In a post abortion study, 60% of women surveyed reported that they felt “part of me died” after their abortion.* This is the tragic reality of abortion, it leaves wounds behind on those who experience it. Often times women don’t know how to express these feelings, they can be confusing and complex. It is vitally important that when women find themselves in unplanned pregnancy that they are met with life affirming support and care.
Abortion is never the answer, it is not healthcare, it will not solve the issues they face. If women in unplanned pregnancy are met with support and encouragement, they can find a way forward in their circumstances that protects the life of their unborn child. Life is always the right choice.
It is our desire, as Life Runners Fiji, to be sure that no woman in an unplanned pregnancy every has to journey alone. We are here to offer moral support, to encourage women in unplanned pregnancy, and to offer a listening ear to those who have experienced abortion and need healing. We need to surround women in unplanned pregnancy with love and support, we need to engage the fathers to be supportive and encouraging. The church needs to reach out to women in unplanned pregnancy, it’s an opportunity to share the love of Jesus!
Life Runners Fiji trains Pregnancy Ministry Volunteers to be a hand of hope and help to women in unplanned pregnancy. If you would like to be a part of this life saving ministry or if you are pregnant and need to talk, please reach out to us through the contact link in the website or send an email to fijiliferunner@yahoo.com.
